Waiting for Tomorrow (2016)
From the perspective of a child in the back seat of a car, Waiting for Tomorrow (2016) presents a recurring event from my childhood, driving home at night. Many of my childhood memories of late night drives involve getting lulled to sleep by the sound of the car, the light murmur of voices, and the gentle movements as my parents drove us home. This short film returns to memories from my childhood that I did not fully understand, held in the tension between a comfortable space and difficult, painful conversations.
This project was shot on Kodak VISION3 500T Color Negative Super 8 film.
